Program Overview
The HonuaTree Give-Back Program is a community reinvestment initiative designed to support social and health services that have been impacted by government budget cuts. In keeping with the Hawaiian meaning of “Honua”, this program embodies stewardship, healing, and equity by channeling a portion of HonuaTree's revenue into grassroots and nonprofit efforts that serve vulnerable populations, especially in underserved communities.
Program Objectives
- Restore Vital Services lost due to public funding cuts.
- Support Underserved Communities with a focus on health, education, and cultural resilience.
- Promote Equity and Sustainability through transparent giving and strategic partnerships.
- Build HonuaTree's Legacy as a socially conscious brand committed to regenerative impact.
Funding Sources
- Affiliate Contributions: A fixed percentage (e.g., 1-2%) of paid Affiliate subscriptions or commissions is allocated to the Give-Back Fund.
- Corporate Sponsorships: Companies can co-brand and fund specific initiatives aligned with their CSR goals.
- Charitable Add-Ons: Optional donation prompts at checkout for directory users and affiliates.
- Seasonal Campaigns: Themed donation drives tied to awareness months or holidays (e.g., Mental Health Month, Veterans Day).

How It Works
1️⃣ Community Partner Criteria
To be eligible for funding, an organization must:
- Be a nonprofit, grassroots, or community-based entity
- Serve at-risk or underfunded populations
- Show potential or proven impact on focus areas
- Align with HonuaTree's values of equity, empowerment, and sustainability
2️⃣ Powered by Purpose Infographic or Timeline Style:
- The affiliate or sponsor contributes (auto or optional %)
- Funds collected into a Give-Back pool
- Organizations apply quarterly for grants
- Advisory Council reviews and selects awardees
- Recipients share impact stories
3️⃣ Fund Distribution & Oversight
- Quarterly Grant Cycles: Competitive application and selection every 3 months
- Give-Back Advisory Council: Comprising HonuaTree staff, affiliate reps, and community leaders
- Transparency & Reporting: Annual reports documenting fund usage, community impact, and outcomes
