IN SUMMARY ... COVID-19 has Affected the Lives of Students and Educators everywhere. It knows no boundaries; geographic, ethnic, gender, age, political, religious, or otherwise. Among those most affected are students whose education has been interrupted without an apparent safe alternative.
Tapping into their respective backgrounds while observing the impacts of COVID-19 on their local communities, the concept of the HonuaTree Education Affiliate Initiative became a natural progression for Dr. Faatai, Joe Wilson, and Sam Harrell. Collectively, they want to share what they've learned with educators who are looking for ways to satisfy the educational needs of students while leveraging the cost, experience, and training they have already invested for a positive return.
The HonuaTree Education Affiliate Initiative was designed for deployment nationwide in collaboration with local school districts, private schools, and/or local non-profits organizations whose mission-focus' includes youth development. As an education program, with a primary focus on helping students caught in the Achievement Gap, HonuaTreEAI can be seamlessly integrated into any existing education environment or incorporated as the foundation of a distance learning program that is being introduced in a local community.
Our Focus is Distance Learning
Distance Learning, also called distance education or online learning, is a method of studying in which lectures are broadcast or classes are conducted by correspondence or over the Internet, without the students needing to attend a school or college in-person.
