Common Core Standards

The HonuaTree Education Affiliate Initiative recommends that its Affiliates align the curriculum they develop with Common Core Standards. Why?  Because the Common Core is a set of high-quality academic standards in mathematics and English language arts/literacy (ELA). These are learning goals that outline what a student should know and be able to do at the end of each grade. Particularly in subjects such as math, college remediation rates have been high.

As highlighted in the map, the state-led effort to develop the Common Core State Standards was launched in 2009 by state leaders, including governors and state commissioners of education from 48 states, two territories and the District of Columbia, through their membership in the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices (NGA).

Although there are a number of lesson plans and resource tools available today, we recommended Achieve the Core. Achieve the Core is home to hundreds of free, open-source resources to help educators improve instruction and increase student achievement.

The HounaTree Education Affiliate Initiative is specifically designed to help students achieve academic outcomes that prepare them to reach their full potential in life.  That said, we recognize that educators come fully credentialed in their respective fields, but may not be experienced in what it takes to be successful in the use of online technologies, including video conferencing, NWEA Map, HonuaTreEAI directory, etc.

Due to our vast global network and the knowledge and experience that the owners of the HonuaTreEAI platform possess, a clear and intuitive appreciation for the intricacies of operating an internet-based business will be made available to all Affiliates.  We are prepared to walk our Affiliates through every step and stay with them on an ongoing basis.

Education Designed for Tomorrow's Youth

Under the general designation of "Affiliate", the HonuaTree Education Affiliate Initiative (HonueTreEAI) helps educators provide online learning, as an alternative or hybrid to in-person learning settings.   At the foundation of this initiative are experienced licensed educators who become proficient at providing online distance learning inside existing education systems, or in some cases hanging out their shingles, so to speak as independent online service providers.  Because we live in an internet-based global world where in-person classroom settings have become more hazardous, more than 26 million students in America alone are in need of the type of distance learning alternative that we offer,

The HonuaTree Education Affiliate Initiative

HonuaTreEAI facilitates the online delivery of education to students with a personal touch.

Experienced licensed educators who set up and operate their own online distance learning businesses - hang out their shingles,

Private Schools

Private Schools are privately owned and funded without the assistance of local, state, or federal governments. Elementary, middle, and secondary schools can be private, as can colleges and universities.
