EFTY Life Skills
Introduction
This program is designed for young adults ranging from ages 18-24. Our goal is to enhance the social capital and support system of these young adults in their pursuit of higher education and financial success. Through connections to influential people, college volunteers, and professional athletes, we would like to introduce a space of motivation and encouragement for students to become the best person possible, which in return will lead to the individual becoming a better student. To engage with the community and gather a buy-in, each participant will get a $50.00 incentive for taking a survey for evaluation purposes. After completion of this program, students will have experience working with mentors and peers who have found inspiring keys to success to pass along. Also working with EFTY programs will make each participant eligible to qualify for an EFTY scholarship upon completion of the program. $100.00 will be rewarded to the students that meet all the required criteria for the completion of the course. After the last session, the students will have the option of attending an EFTY lead field trip to somewhere exciting.
Overview
Our Program Goals - Empire For the Youth, Inc. will:
1. Increase Academic Achievement through tutoring and hands on learning activities.
2. Provide Career Development through career exploration and skill development
3. Deliver Life Skill Training and Coaching to students focusing on guidance, personal empowerment and improvement to aspects of their life.
4. Supply Mentoring Partnerships focusing on survival and sustainability skills essential for overcoming adversity.

Developed by Wayne Lyons II, the Lyons Den Youth Empowerment Initiative was designed based on the above event structure, but white-labels to meet the goals and objectives of the organization promoting the program in its local community.
